What’s inside the box?! Nothing! Absolutely nothing!... actually it’s my new mufflers, UHF quote notwithstanding.
My new mufflers which are the Soviet tanks of straight-thrus.
16ga steel, stainless large fiber wool, and a 5/32 spring coil core. Basically unchanged from how Porter made them in the 40s.

They do some muffling. Allegedly. In theory. A smidgen of enquietifying. Look , they’re slightly quieter than smittys if for no reason than weighing about twice as much. That counts for something, surely.
